DRACUT - Helen L. (Lambros) Metros, 89, a resident of Dracut, died Wednesday December 13th at Saints Medical Center in Lowell. She was the wife of the late George A. Metros who died in 1983.
She was born in Lowell on April 23, 1917, and was a daughter of the late Miltiades and Pagona (Piscopanis) Lambros.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Metros was employed as a teacher's aid at the Campbell School in Dracut and she was previously employed as a special needs teacher for Lowell schools. Earlier in her life she was employed by Synthetic Yarns in Lowell.
In her free time she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, traveling, and cooking.
She was a member of Community Teamwork Inc.
She is survived by three sons, Chris Metros of Las Vegas, NV, John Metros and his wife Phyllis of Dracut, and Paul Metros and his wife Karen, of Dracut; two sisters Eve Olstad of Rhinebeck, NY, and Stella Kurzenhauser and her husband Alfred of Tampa, FL; a brother Nicholas Lambros and his wife Michelle of Dracut; eight grandchildren Leni Herschman of Chester, CT, Charles Metros of Villa Rica, GA, Valerie Metros of Miami Beach, FL, Eleni Metros of Las Vegas, NV, Nikki Frye of Lakewood, CO, George Metros of Lowell, Christine Natale of Melrose, and Paula Metros of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; nine great grandchildren Arianna Varas, C.J. Metros, Kristina Metros, Alex Belleville, Angelina Natale, Lindsay Metros, Jayce T. Frye, Nicholas Metros, and Olivia Metros; and several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10AM in the funeral home. Burial in Richardson Cemetery, Dracut.
