Boston - Matthew A. Reed, 16, of Westport passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Born in Providence, RI, son of Stanley L. Reed, Jr. and Kathy L. (Turner) Reed, he was a lifelong resident of Westport. Mr. Reed was a high honors student at Westport High School and was a former member of the Junior Honor Society of the Westport Middle School. He was a member of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Including his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents: William and Joyce (Holt) Turner of Westport; paternal grandparents: Joyce (Kydd) Reed of Fall River and Stanley L. Reed, Sr. and Barbara Reed of Lakeview Plantation, ME; a brother: Christopher M. Reed of Westport; 2 sisters: Andrea E. Reed of Westport and Sophia A. Reed of Westport.
Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the Potter Funeral Home at 4:30 P.M.
Calling hours 2 - 4:30 P.M. prior to the service.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
