Vitorino D. Lima, 84, of New Bedford, formerly of Waterbury, CT, died Tuesday December 12, 2006 at Tobey Hospital. He was the husband of Mary C. (Araujo) Lima; they had been married for 53 years.
Born in San Antao, Cape Verde, the son of the late Manuel D. and Felipa daGraca (Mosso) Lima, he lived in Waterbury most of his life before moving to New Bedford in 2005.
He was a former communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Waterbury.
Mr. Lima was formerly employed by Chase Brass Company until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife; a brother John Baptista Lima and a sister Isadora Mendes, both of Cape Verde; and nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9 AM in Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
