John F. Herland of Reading passed away on Monday, December 11, 2006 at his home. He was 57 years of age.
Born in Syracuse, New York, John was the beloved son of the late George Herland and Genevieve (Florczyk) Herland. John was a warm and caring son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed.
John was a dedicated employee of Scolly Industries. He was a quiet man who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and reading. As a proud Army Veteran, he was stationed in the South Pacific. John was a loyal and devoted member of the Reading American Legion.
John was the devoted brother of Edward L. and Stephen Herland, both of Topsfield, Norman Herland and his wife Melinda of North Carolina and the late Philip Herland. He was the dear uncle of Brittany, Camille and Noel Herland.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Thursday from 6-8pm in the Joseph Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St.
