Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 9 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 pm.
Obituary Information
Rita M. (Williams) Lampos, 85 years died Monday at the Brockton Hospital. She was born and raised in Brockton, daughter of the late Flaviano and Mary (Tanasso) Williams. She attended Brockton schools and was a graduate of Brockton High School. Mrs. Lampos along with her husband owned Wood Hu Kitchen in W. Bridgewater for more than 35 years as well as generously donating all of the land for the site of the Fuller Art Museum at D.W. Fields Park in Brockton. Mrs. Lampos enjoyed traveling to many ports around the world and for over 40 years belonged to the “Wednesday Club” with her cherished girlfriends. She was an avid golfer for many years at Brockton Country Club and Thorny Lea Golf Club. For over 10 years Mrs. Lampos had wintered in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was a loving mother, a cherished sister and a precious friend.
She is survived by her son, Thomas F. Lampos and his wife Carolyn of Brockton, a granddaughter Stacey Gennis and her husband Jim of North Easton, two great granddaughters Cassandra and Alexandra Gennis and a sister Ann Kelly of Brockton.
She was the wife of the late Paul T. Lampos and sister of the late Annie Cerci and Matthew Williams of Brockton
