James D. Campbell, 72, died Tuesday, December 12th at the Brockton Hospital, after a brief illness He was the husband of the Jean (Fortier) Campbell.
Born in Boston son of the late James A. and Alice (Healy) Campbell, he was brought up in Randolph and attended Randolph Schools.
Mr. Campbell worked as a security officer at the Brockton Hospital for many years.
He was a resident of Whitman for 17 years, a member of American Legion 22, and the Whitman VFW Post 697, also past officer of the Brockton VFW Post 1046.
His funeral will be on Thursday December 14th at 4:00 P.M. in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street, (Route 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman. Visiting hours Thursday December 14th 2:00 – 4:00 PM. A private burial will be held on Friday in the Mass. V.A. National Cemetery.
