Obituary

SPENCER: Dorothy R. "Grammie Dot" (Larson) Hayward,78, of 110 Charlton Rd.,
died Sunday, Dec. 10 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
She was the wife of Earle E. Hayward who died in 1982. She leaves a daughter
Karen J. Gaudette and her husband Paul of Spencer with whom she lived, three
grand children Erin C., Sarah E. and Jack R. Gaudette all at home, several
nieces and nephews and many close friends. She is predeceased by brothers
Raymond, Harold, Robert and William Larson and a sister Hazel Larson.
Mrs. Hayward was an office clerk at Heald Machine in Worcester and later
worked for South Eastern Enterprises for 11 years before retiring in 1993.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Oscar and Grace (Brown) Larson.
She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Worcester where she was
an office volunteer and member of the Nenana Group.
She enjoyed tap dancing with her grand children, playing cards and crochet.
The funeral will be held Friday, Dec. 15 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON
FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a service at 11a.m. in All Saints
Episcopal Church, 10 Irving St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Hope
Cemetery, Worcester. A calling hour will be held Friday from 9:15 to 10:15
a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to
either the Alzheimer's Assoc., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, Ma. 02472 or
UMASS Memorial Foundation, The Levine Cancer Center, 365 Plantation St.,
Worcester 01605-2395.
