Glynn-John F. “Jack” of Malden passed away at New England Medical Center in Boston on December 10th after a brief illness. He was 75. Jack is the beloved husband of Diane F. (Fisher) Glynn, the father of Kelly F. McCarthy and her husband Robert of Reading, Kerry E. Drinkwater and her husband Fred of Lynnfield, John F. Glynn Jr. and his wife Rita of Medford and Christopher P. Glynn and his wife Joanne of Malden. He is also survived by his grandchildren Robert, Kathryn, Andrew, Alex, John IV, Daniel and Philip. He was born in Malden on September 19th, 1931 and has been a life-long resident of Malden. He was a well known man in Malden serving as Councilor-at-Large for 25 Years and he also was a Malden School Committee Member for 4 years. Jack was a self-employed accountant at the John F. Glynn Accounting Office in Malden which was also known as Colonial Accounting. He maintained a successful business for over 40 years. In 1950, he graduated from Malden High School and went on to graduate from Suffolk University and Portia Law School in Boston (now known as New England School of Law). He was a Member of the Irish American Club in Malden, the Malden Historical Society and was a devoted fan of Boston College Football. Services will be held from the A.J. Breslin & Son Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden at Medford line on Thursday Dec. 14th at 9:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church in Malden at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment in Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
