WORCESTER___Robert E. Howe, 69, of 33 Louise St., died Tuesday December 5 on his birthday, in his home.
He leaves his wife of 50 years, Geraldine T. (Vallee) Howe, three sons, Robert E. Howe, Jr., and his wife Elena of Southbridge; Gary Howe of Worcester and Wayne Howe of Seabrook, N.H., a daughter, Cheryl Borbone and her husband, Joseph of Worcester; a brother, Leon Howe of Worcester; ten grandchildren, Gary Jr., Brandon, Kyle, Carynn, Gregory, Dominque, Darcey, Dominic, Mercedes and Michael, and a great-grandson, Jacob. He was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Howe and a sister, Edith Gambaccini. He was born in Worcester, son of Leon M. and Gladys M. (Cunningham) Howe and has lived here all his life.
Mr. Howe was a machinist and later a foreman for Parker & Harper Co., and worked there twenty years before retiring in 1999. He also worked part time for Holy Cross College. His pastime was enjoying his grandchildren.
The private funeral will be held on Friday December 8 in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Auburn District Nursing Association, 191 Pakachoag St., Auburn, Ma., 01501.
