Yvonne B. Gilbert
MANCHESTER: Yvonne B. Gilbert, 87, died December 10, 2006 at Harborside Healthcare in Bedford.
She was born in Manchester on July 1, 1919 the daughter of Euclide and Marie Jeanne (Forcier) Parent and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
Prior to her retirement she had worked for Tru Craft Shoe Co., Manchester Knitting Mill, Woolworth’s and Lord’s Department Store.
She was a lifelong parishioner of St. George Church prior to it’s closing, and more recently St. Pius X Parish.
Her first husband, Roland W. Champagne was killed in action during WWII and her second husband Henry T. Gilbert died in 1976.
Members of her family include one son William “Cid” Gilbert of Manchester, one daughter Mrs. Armado ( Judith ) Rivera of Searcy, Ark., 5 grandchildren, 5 greatgrandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
IN HER LIFE: She was predeceased by 5 sisters, Jeannette Ouellette, Laurette Chauvette, Sr. Lucienne Parent CSC, Irene Bedard and Therese Parent, one brother George Parent.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at the J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St..
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 am in St. Pius X Church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
