Jayne Griffin Reeves, 51, of Opelika, Alabama (formerly of Fitzgerald) died Saturday, December 9, at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Tuesday, December 12, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Monday evening.
Ms. Reeves was born March 22, 1955, in Fitzgerald, Georgia to the late Benny Fred and Jewell Fletcher Griffin. She was a 1973 graduate of Fitzgerald High School, attended Valdosta State University and Ben Hill-Irwin Tech. She was an Emergency Medical Technician and a respiratory therapist. She had made her home in Alabama for the past 25 years. She was a member of the Arp Baptist Church in Irwin County and attended the Believers Church in Opelika.
Ms. Reeves is survived by her children: Ben Reeves and Wyatt (Andrea) Reeves all of Irwin County, Sgt. Brittney Reeves, U.S. Marine Corps, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and Brandi (David) Oyola of Opelika, Alabama; Sister: Kris (Mike) Chason of Tifton. One Grandson, Elisha Oyola; and one granddaughter: Trinity Oyola; one niece, Tracy (David) Nolan of Warner Robins and one nephew, David Chason of Tifton.
