Lawrence A. Balboni of Wellesley died December 7, 2006 at the Metro West Medical Center in Natick. He was 85. He was the beloved husband of the late Alice M. “Dolly” (Marchetti) Balboni.
Mr. Balboni was born in Wellesley and remained a life long resident. He was an employee of the Gillette Company in Boston. He was a World War II Veteran, serving in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of the Italo-American Club and the Reliance Club of Wellesley.
He was the devoted father of Dennis J. Balboni and his wife Lorraine of Hudson and the late Richard L. Balboni and his wife Louise of Mystic, CT. Grandfather of Richard L. Balboni Jr. of Clifton Park, NY. Great grandfather of Justin, Michael and Mathew Balboni of Mystic, CT. Brother of Priscilla Chesmore of Franklin and the late Gloria Harrington, Edna Marenghi and Richard Balboni.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt.16) Wellesley, on Monday at 9:00 AM. Funeral mass in St. Paul’s Church, Wellesley, at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Sunday 2-4 PM. Interment private.
