Ellen M. (Clark) Greer RN, a 62 year resident of Salem, NH, died Wednesday at the Salemhaven Nursing Home, Salem, NH.
She was born in Methuen, MA, and graduated from Edward F. Searles High School in 1928. She later graduated from Lawrence General Hospital School of Nursing.
Mrs. Greer was a retired Registered Nurse for the Salem School District. She had previously worked at the Lawrence General Hospital and for her husband Dr. William Greer. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Salem, the Salem Garden Club, secretary for the Salvation Army, on the board for the Council on Aging and was on the original board of the Salem Visiting Nurse Association.
She was predeceased, in 1965, by her husband, Dr. William Greer.
She is survived by her Daughter: Marga C. Greer of Salem, NH
Grandchildren: Daniel Nolan & his wife Betsy Holland of Medford, MA
William Nolan & his wife Jennifer of Salem, NH
Ann-Marie & her husband Ralph Glynn of Salem, NH
She also leaves Great Grandchildren: Ashley Glynn, Ellen Nolan, Kiva Nolan and Kelly Nolan
Calling hours will be held Friday, Dec. 8 from 4-7 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
Funeral services will be private for the family, and burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
