TEWKSBURY - Ray F. Sirti, age 70, a retired member of AFL-CIO Teamsters Local 25, died
unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, Dec. 6, at his Tewksbury home, from an apparent heart
attack. He was the husband of Jean E. (Pica) (Shaw) Sirti, with whom he had celebrated a 19th
wedding anniversary this past May 15th.
He was born in New York City, on Feb. 7, 1936, the son of the late Mayo and Jean (Zilenski)
Sirti. He was raised in New York, where he lived until moving to the Lowell and Tewksbury area
30 years ago.
During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Air Force.
He retired from Roadway, and was a member of Teamsters Local 25, AFL-CIO.
Besides his wife he is survived by four step children, Michael Shaw of Lowell, Stephanie Girard
and Brenda Shaw both of Tewksbury and Kelly Shaw of Rumney, NH; three step children by his
previous marriage to Fern Morel of Malden; Joseph Morel of Andover, Jamie Morel of
Jacksonville, FL, and Donald Morel of Lynn; a sister, Loretta Anderson of Del Ray Beach, FL;
fourteen grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter; one niece; and two nephews.

His funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 11, in the funeral home. Following cremation, private
interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery. Friends who wish, may make
