Marie A. (Butera) Giovino, of Medford, died Monday at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Boston. She was 73.
Raised in Medford, Marie was the daughter of the late Ignatius and the late Olympia (Cella) Butera. A dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother, Marie was an active member of St. Francis Parish in Medford.
She was the beloved wife of the late Richard D. Giovino, who died in 1976. She was a devoted mother to Richard and his wife Dawn, Ronald and his wife Jeanne, Lisa, Leanne, Lynda and Raymond Giovino all of Medford, and Robert Giovino and his wife Wendy of Georgetown. She was a loving grandmother to Ronald, Danielle, Lauren, Richard, Kayla and Kristina. She was a dear sister to Domenic Butera and his wife Sylvia of Medford and Rev. George Butera of St. Mary’s, Scituate.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday at 9AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 3-8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
