Obituary

Bridgewater - Louise “Netchie” (Giovanoni) Pelati, 85, of Bridgewater, died Dec. 3, 2006, at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of George P. Pelati.

Born July 7, 1921, in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Fedina (Carlotti) Giovanoni.

She was a lifelong resident of Bridgewater and resided throughout her life in the home where she was born.

Mrs. Pelati graduated from Bridgewater High School and Williams Business School.

She worked at Independent Nail Co. and Trucchi’s Supermarkets.

Mrs. Pelati devoted her life to bringing joy, laughter and love to family and friends. Netchie was happiest when pampering those she loved with her Italian cooking, homemade pies and well-known Toll House cookies.

In addition to her husband George, she is survived by her children, George F. Pelati of Randolph and Cindy and Stephen Dempsey of Bridgewater; her grandchildren, Christopher and Laura Dempsey of Bridgewater and Rose and Helen Pelati of Randolph; a sister, Helen Walett of Abington; as wella s nieces, nephews and good friends. She was also sister to the late Leah Powell and Dante Giovanoni.

Her funeral will be from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, Wednesday at 8:15 am, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bridgewater, at 9 am. Burial will be in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday 4-8 pm.
