Kenneth Carlton Caldwell III, 46, of Auburn, NH died December 4, 2006 at the Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA after a two-year battle with cancer. He was born on September 6, 1960 in Mount Holly, NJ a son of Kenneth and Elizabeth (Patterson) Caldwell II. He grew up in Medford Lakes, NJ and graduated in 1978 from Shawnee High School, Medford. He joined the US Navy in 1979, and following training at Great Lakes, IL, served aboard the ammunition ship, USS Butte in the Mediterranean, Persian Gulf, Caribbean, and North Atlantic. Kenneth moved to New Hampshire in 1984 and was employed by various sheet metal companies, both locally and in the Boston area. He had been employed at Freeman Fuel in Methuen for the past 16 years. His passion was baseball. He loved attending Red Sox games and watching his son play baseball. He enjoyed traveling and the many trips to Florida to visit his family.
The family includes his wife of 14 years, Elaine Tatulis-Caldwell and a son Kenneth “Kenny” Caldwell IV, both of Auburn; his parents, Ken and Betty Caldwell of Port Charlotte, FL; a brother, Kevin Caldwell of Punta Gorda, FL; many aunts, uncles and cousins in the New Jersey area and several nieces and nephews locally.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Gail Singer Memorial Building, 360 State Route 101, Suite 501, Bedford NH 03110.
