Mr. John H. Caswell, beloved husband of Virginia F. (Kehoe) Caswell and long time resident of Andover, Massachusetts, died at the Academy Manor Nursing Home in Andover on Wednesday, November 30, 2006. He was 75 years old.
Mr. Caswell was born in Brockton, Massachusetts, on July 30, 1931, a loving son of the late Walter and Helen (Nichols) Caswell. He was a long time communicant of St. Augustine Church in Andover and was a graduate of Punchard High School, Class of 1949, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Class of 1952, Merrimack College, Class of 1975 and attended classes at Babson College. He was also a Captain in the US Naval Reserves for many years.
Besides his beloved wife, Virginia, he will be sorely missed by two daughters and one son-in-law, Jane Caswell of Norwich, Vermont and Beth and her husband David Puleo of Andover, five grandchildren; Avery, Hillary and Clifford Roberts and Jonathan and Alyssa Puleo; one brother, Peter Caswell of San Diego, CA; one sister, Elizabeth Stenson of San Diego, California, mother-in-law; Almeda Kehoe of Andover; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law Fran and her husband James Johnson of Salisbury Beach and Daniel Kehoe of East Hampstead, New Hampshire and many nieces and nephews. He was also the grandfather of the late Joshua Puleo.
A Memorial Mass was celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover, Saturday, December 2, 2006, at 10:30 AM. Many relatives and friends attended. Burial was in Spring Grove Cemetery, Andover.
