Obituary

Ruth (Queeney) Sherman, 91, a longtime resident of Brockton, died Friday, December 1 at the Chula Vista Care Center in Mesa, AZ. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Sherman. Ruth was born in Boston and educated in the Boston School System. Before her retirement, she was secretary to the Postmaster in Brockton. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Mrs. Sherman was a member of the Veterans Association with Multiple Sclerosis. Ruth was also a member of the Brockton Garden Club. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mrs. Sherman was the beloved mother of Merrillyn A. Collins of Phoenix, AZ and Laurence K. Sherman of Plympton. Mrs. Sherman is also survived by her niece, Helen Cooper O’Hara of Brockton. She will also be missed by her three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Ruth was predeceased by five brothers and sisters.

Funeral prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, December 7 at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-7 PM. Burial will take place at Melrose Cemetery in Brockton.
