New Bedford-Carlos Pimentel age 51 died Saturday December 2, 2006 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Maria (Silva) Pimentel of North Dartmouth. He was the father of Jeffrey Pimentel of New Bedford, Derek, and Brian Pimentel both of North Dartmouth. He was the grandfather of Nicolas, and Madison Pimentel. He was the brother of Fernando Pimentel, Renato da Costa, Francisco da Costa, Jamie da Costa, David da Costa, and Marco da Costa all of New Bedford. He also has several nieces, and nephews.
Mr. Pimentel was the son of Maria Luisa (Simao) Pimentel of South Dartmouth, and the late Fernando Pimentel. He was born in Sao Miguel, Azores and has lived here since 1978. He was a carpenter with Vareika Construction Co.
His Funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home Wednesday December 6, 2006 at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 6-9 P.M.
