Olga A. (Ciacci) Roppolo, 92, of New Bedford died November 30, 2006 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Domenic Roppolo.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Pietro and Benilda (Zaffini) Ciacci, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Mrs. Roppolo was employed by several local textile mills, but spent most of her life as a homemaker, who had brought much care and love to her family. During the latter part of her life, she had resided at Hathaway Manor in New Bedford, a place that provided much love and care to her.
Survivors include one daughter, Janice A. Preti, and her husband Warren, of Dartmouth; 2 grandchildren, Lisa Tryder and Brian Preti both of Westwood; a great-granddaughter, Caleigh Tryder and two great-grandsons, Will Tryder and Thomas Preti.
She was the sister of the late Albert Ciacci, Joseph Ciacci, William Ciacci and Armeto Ciacci.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Monday, December 4th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday, December 3rd from 4-6 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
