Edith M. McKenzie of Needham died on Friday, December 1st at her home. She was 95 years old. Born and raised in New Bedford, Edith was a graduate of Mt. Holyoke College. She was a college professor and dean, teaching business course at the University of New Hampshire, Boston university and Massachusetts Bay Community College. She lived n Beacon Street in Boston for many years and retired to Needham. She was a longtime member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Needham. An avid bird watcher, Edith traveled extensively around the world in that pursuit. Loving daughter of the late Mary Ellen (Duerden) and John Alexander McKenzie, she is survived by her cousins Muriel F. Bouley of Port St. Lucie FL and Nellie Cork of England. A memorial service will be held at the Christ Episcopal Church Chapel 1132 highland Avenue Needham on Wednesday December 6 at 11:00 AM. Relatives an friends are kindly invited to attend.
