Obituary

Maitland G. "Gary" Winslow, 66, of Rochester died Thursday November 30, 2006 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Acushnet, the son of the late Kenneth and Olive (Phipps) Winslow, he lived in Rochester all of his life.

Mr. Winslow was a partner in D & G Machine Shop in Wareham for 30 years until his retirement.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1957 to 1960. An auto racing enthusiast, he had a short career in drag racing with the National Hot Rod Association.

Survivors include a son, Phillip G. Winslow and his wife Noppawan Sawang of Rochester; a brother, Weston Winslow of Freetown; and two sisters, Carol Lawrence of Rochester and Shirley Zeller of Utah.

He was the brother of the late Eunice Jenkins.


Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett. A graveside service will be held in the Center Cemetery in Rochester at a later date. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
