Hanlon, Maria (Beristain), of Plymouth, 91, on November 28th at home. Survived by her loving children William A. Hanlon of FL, Susan J. Gorman of Lynn, Penny L. Hanlon of Manomet and Danielle G. Wind of CT. She also leaves her brothers Ruben Beristain, Carlos Beristain and Jose Luis Beristain all of Mexico City, her sister Elena Beristain of Mexico City, her granddaughter Mia (Hanlon) Steiger, of Manomet, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by her longtime companion Clifton R. Campbell and her granddaughter Kimberly Griffin. A funeral service will be held on Monday December 4th at the 2nd Church of Plymouth in Manomet at 11 o’clock followed by burial at Manomet Cemetery in Plymouth. Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) on Sunday December 3rd from 3 to 5 PM. Maria was born on November 7, 1915 in Mexico City, Mexico to the late Carlos Bonnard Beristain and Tirsa (Mondragon). She has lived in Plymouth for 8 years coming from W. Somerville. She graduated from N. E. Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse at N.E. Deaconess for over 30 years and also at Jordan Hospital. She was a member of the N. E. Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing Alumna, Plymouth Garden Club, member of the 2nd Church of Plymouth in Manomet, the Women’s League and the Ladies Benefit Society. She enjoyed traveling, reading and gardening.
Maria passed away at home on November 28, 2006 in Plymouth.
