Florence Elizabeth (Brown) Blase, 98, died at West Acres Nursing Home in Brockton on Wednesday, November 29. She was the wife of the late Lawrence C. Blase. Born and educated in Boston, she was a resident of Stoughton for 10 years after living in Readville for many years and Middleboro briefly. Mrs. Blase worked for University Hospital in Boston for 20 years as an Appointment Clerk. She retired 38 years ago. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Jamaica Plain and the Royal Acranum Insurance Society.
Mrs. Blase is survived by her grandchildren, Suzanne R. Williams of FL and Ronald Cameron of Buzzards Bay. She was the mother of the late Ruth Mata Cameron. She was the Aunt of Richard Blase, Glenna Riley, Margaret Whitney and Jane Edwards. She is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren and many grand nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held from the Covenant Congregational Church, 204 Center St., N. Easton on Saturday, December 2 at 1 PM. Visiting Hours omitted. Donations in Florence‘s name may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, 01701. Burial will be at the VA National Cemetery in Bourne on Monday, December 4.
