Bessie (Wasserman) Liberman, 86, a longtime resident of Everett died on November 29, 2006 at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home after a brief illness.
Born in Chelsea, the daughter of the late Max & Mae (Wasserman) Wasserman, Bessie was raised in Chelsea and a graduate of Chelsea High School. A dedicated and loving wife and mother, Bessie dedicated her life to her family. She was also very active in the community as a past president of the Everett Parent Teacher Association, member of the Sisterhood of Congregation Tifereth Israel of Everett, member of Hadassah, and member of B’Nai Brith. Bessie also enjoyed traveling, and playing cards with her multitude of friends. She will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed by her family and friends.
Wife of the late Morris Liberman who died in 2004, Bessie is survived by her children, Merylee Van Houten & her husband Doug of Everett, Dr. Ellen Liberman of MD, & Robert Liberman & his wife Nancy of Burlington; her grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Erica, Jessica, Jamie, Matthew, Molly, & Brianna; and her sister, Marion Prokup of Allentown, PA
Bessie’s funeral service will be held in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq) CHELSEA on Friday, December 1, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Onikchty Society Cemetery, Rt. 99, Melrose. Memorial observance will be held at her late residence on Saturday evening after Shabbat, and on Sunday and Monday.
