Acushnet – Adela R. (Tomasik) Forand, 87, of Acushnet died at home November 27, 2006. She was the widow of Oscar H. Forand.
Mrs. Forand was born in Rochester, daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy (Klus) Tomasik, and resided in Acushnet most of her life. She was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church. She was employed as a cafeteria worker by the Acushnet Public School System until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, birds and butterflies.
Survivors include 2 sons: Oscar H. Forand, Jr. and Richard P. Forand both of Acushnet; a daughter: Karen A. Belisle of Cheshire, MA; 4 sisters: Lillian Braley of Acushnet, Pauline Hartley of Rochester, Frances Denson of Lakeville and Irene Sylvia of Middleboro; 2 grandchildren: Nicholas Forand of Silver Spring, MD and Tracy Forand of Acushnet; and many nieces & nephews.

A memorial service at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, December 1, 2006 at St. Francis Xavier Church, Acushnet.

Interment in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
