Methuen, MA – Marcella P. (Butler) Duffen, 95, died Sunday November 26, 2006 at the Amesbury Village in Amesbury, MA.
Born and educated in Pittston, PA Mrs. Duffen had been employed locally with Hillside Manor, Stones Department Store, and Bon Secours Hospital known today as Caritas Holy Family Hospital all of Methuen.
Marcella was a communicant of Saint Monica’s Church in Methuen, and when able attended their weekly Monday night Novena.
According to her children she was an avid sports fan and former mascot for the childrens sports teams, and loved to spend as much time as possible with her grandchildren.
A 50 year resident of Methuen she was the widow of Harold R. Duffen.
Survivors include her children Harold F. & Companion Barbara A. Bragg, James R. & wife Patricia Duffen of NH, Marcella “Marcie” & husband Gregory L. Vincent of NH, and Charles R. Duffen of SC, one sister Romayne Trolio and husband Joseph of PA 7 grandchildren: Joseph, James, Kimberly, Sean, Heather,Michael & Sarah. Several greatgrandchildren, many nieces and nephews great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will take place on Friday morning at 9 o’clock in Saint Monica’s Church with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 3-5 P.M. & 7-9 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
