Yvonne B. Marquis, 79, died Sunday Morning, November 26, at the St. Joseph’s Manor Nursing Home in Brockton under the care of Old Colony Hospice. Born in Madawaska, ME, she was raised and attended school in both St. Agatha, ME and Madawaska. She was a resident of Stoughton for over 30 years. Prior to living in Stoughton, Ms. Marquis lived in Texas and worked for Catholic Charities and Cardinal Medeiros as a personal assistant. She also previously lived in Canada and Connecticut. After moving to Stoughton, she worked as an assembler for various shoe companies. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and animals.
She is survived by her siblings: George and Eugene Marquis both of ME and Bernadette of Hyde Park. She is also survived by her best friends Roberta & Joe DeAndrade, “Fudgy” Batte and Elaine Corfield all of Stoughton.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, November 29, at 9:45 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:15 AM. Visiting Hours prior to Mass from 8:30-9:45 AM. Donations in Yvonne’s name may be made to the St. Joseph’s Manor Patients Activity Fund, 215 Thatcher St., Brockton, 02302. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
