Eugene F. “Gene” Schadone, 70, of Julia Drive in North Providence died Thursday surrounded by his family at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Joan S. (DeLalla) Schadone.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Antonio and Angelina Schadone. He was an Army veteran and he was the owner of Modern Casting in Johnston until retiring. He had lived in North Providence since 1968.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Cheryl A. Schadone of North Providence, a son, Gregory J. Schadone, State Representative of North Providence, a daughter in law, Tina (Fecteau) Schadone and two grandchildren, Danielle and Matthew. He was the brother of the late, Lena Starnino, Viola Cerberano, Vera DiCenso, Anna DelSanto, Rose D’Ercole, Betty Ricci, and Vito Schadone. He was brother in law to Doris and Vincent Bottoni of Johnston. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral is Monday at 9:30 am from the *ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am in St. Augustine’s Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Visitation Sunday 4-8pm.
