Obituary

Port Charlotte, FL: Marguerite B. (Letourneau) Cote-Carne died Friday, November 17, 2006 at the Charlotte Harbor Nursing Home, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Robert Carne and was also the wife of the late Dr. Gerard Cote.
Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late Henri A. and Bella (Bourque) Letourneau. As a young woman she and her two sisters sang with many of the big bands of the thirties and forties. The trio performed in many of the entertainment spots on the east coast.
Following her music career, Marguerite went into electrolysis and successfully ran two offices, one in Salem, MA and the other in Hollywood, FL. During those years, she divided her time equally between Salem and Hollywood. While in Salem, Marguerite was a member of the former St. Joseph Parish.
She is survived by 3 grandchildren: Eric J. Szostek of Salem, Scott Denier and Monique Szostek both of New Hampshire, a brother: Henry O. LeTourneau of Port Charlotte, FL, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Marquerite was predeceased by her daughter Carolyn Szostek, and 2 sisters: Beatrice Kelleher and Lucienne Dupray.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Monday, November 27, 2006 at 8:30 am from the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem, followed by her funeral mass in St. James Church, Federal St., Salem at 9:30 am. Visiting hours: Sunday 4 to 8 pm. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Rockport.
