Irene B. (Richmond) Boehner, 81, of Norton died on Wednesday November 22, 2006 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul B. Boehner who died on July 31, 1969.
Born in Norton, MA on February 22, 1925 she was a loving daughter of the late James M. and Blanche (Foster) Richmond, Sr.
She was raised and educated in Norton. Mrs. Boehner had worked as an Inspector in Quality Control at Texas Instruments in Attleboro for 45 years before retiring.
Irene was a member of the North Rehoboth United Methodist in Rehoboth. She was very active at the church serving as a former treasurer for 20 years and was a member of the church choir. Music was a major part of her life.
She was an accomplished artist and loved painting pictures. Irene enjoyed playing a good game of cards with her friends and also liked to crochet. She especially enjoyed the shopping trips taken regularly with her dear sisters. Mrs. Boehner was a lifelong resident of Norton.
She is survived by her dear sisters Anita A. Pendergast of Norton, Georgette Treen of North Attleboro and Janet Schendilwig of New Hampshire. She was the sister of the late James M. Richmond, Jr., Lucie Farquhar and Gloria Gonsalves. Irene is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday November 27th at 10:00 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial will follow in the Norton Common Cemetery, Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday November 26th from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
