N. Attleborough: Sidney J. Romotsky 84, of North Attleborough, died Monday November 20, 2006 at the Pleasant Manor Rehabilitation Center in Attleboro, following a long illness. He was the husband of the late Dorothy J. (Marcus) Romotsky, who died in 2004.
Born in Waltham, September 20, 1922 he was raised and educated in that city, and had formerly lived in Norton and in Swampscott for most of his life, until moving to North Attleborough.
Mr. Romotsky was a retired dry cleaner, having worked for the former Rose Cleaners in Lynn, for many years.
During WW11 he served in the US Army. Stationed in Central Europe, he participated in the campaigns and battles at Rome Arno, North Appenines, & Rhineland. He was awarded the American Defense Service Medal, The European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, The World War 11 Victory Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged in November 1945.
He is survived by a son Gerald M. Romotsky of Newburyport, a daughter Debbie J. Piemonte and her husband Michael of North Attleborough, with whom he lived, 2 grandsons, Justin and Jeremy Piemonte of North Attleborough.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral with Military Honors on Wednesday November 22, 2006 from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin, with a graveside service at the Pride of Lynn Cemetery, Baystate St. Lynn at 2:30PM.
Calling hours are Wednesday from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the funeral home.
