Bridgewater- Myrtle E. (White) Buron, 83, of Bridgewater, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2006, at New England Medical Center in Boston. She was the wife of the late Henry Buron.
Born Feb. 4, 1923, in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late Hiram H. and Flora A. (Holmes) White.
Raised in Easton, she was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School, Class of 1941.
Mrs. Buron was in the U.S. Navy during World War II, where she was a yeoman 2nd class.
She was a secretary for Bridgewater State College for 30 years, retiring in 2002.
Mrs. Buron had been a resident of Bridgewater for the past 40 years and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was mother of William Forbush of Bridgewater and Sandra Bogannam of Connecticut; sister of Vernon White of Easton, Wendall White of Norton and the late Virginia Loftin. Also survived by 4 grandchildren.
Her Funeral service will be in the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, Friday 10 am. Burial will follow in Mass National Cemetery, Bourne, at 11:30 am. Visiting hours omitted.
