WORCESTER-Richard F. Racicot, 83, of Worcester, died Thursday, November 16th, in Notre Dame Long Term Care Center. His wife, Elizabeth G. (McGrail) Racicot, died in 2005. He leaves a son, James W. Racicot and his wife Deborah of Worcester; 2 daughters, Elizabeth A. Racicot of Sutton and Paula J. Harrity and her husband David of Worcester; 4 grandchildren, Timothy, Jamie, James Jr. and Richard; 2 great grandchildren, Meaghan and Matthew.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Felix and Johanna (Germain) Racicot and graduated from South High School and Worcester Boys Trade School. Mr. Racicot was an elevator technician at the former Merideth Elevator Company for many years, retiring in 1985. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran who enjoyed bowling and fishing.
The funeral service and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Horace Mann Education Associates, 345A Greenwood Street, Worcester, MA 01607. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, is directing arrangements.
