Funeral services for Ludie Prothro Bailey, age 91, 372 East Madison Ave., Ashburn will be held Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the Ashburn First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow Sunday, November 19, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, Ga. Mrs. Bailey died Thursday at Tift Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Mrs. Bailey was born in Henry County, Ga. and was the daughter of the late James William and Ola Mae Scarbrough White. She was a retired dental hygienist and a member of the Ashburn First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands Louie E. Driskell and Loren A. Bailey. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She never met a stranger and was a friend to all.
She is survived by one daughter, Margaret Carolyn Scott, Ashburn, Ga.; one sister Mary Katherine Warren, Hephzibah, Ga.; six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and fourteen great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 6:30-8:30 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
