Obituary

Gerard R. “Jerry” Clark, of Medford, died Wednesday at home in the company of his loving family. He was 71.


Mr. Clark was born and raised in Roxbury, the son the late Henry and the late Mary (McClure) Clark. Jerry served with the Army for several years. He had a long career as a pressman with Boston newspapers. He worked with the Boston Post, Record American and the Boston Herald, untill his retirement. A dedicated family man, Jerry lived in the North End after his marriage to Annette, untill the family moved to Medford in 1973.


He was the beloved husband of Annette (Dellatto). He was a devoted father to Michael and his wife Karen of Wilmington, Daniel and his wife Kelly of Boxford. He was a loving grandfather to Christopher, Nicholas, Rachael and Hannah. He was a dear brother to Patricia Clark of Chelsea, Eleanor Wells of NH, Joan Havey of Malden, the late Harry Clark, Robert Clark, Dolly O’Leary and Veronica Centrella. He was a dear brother in law to June Clark and also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.


His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with entombment at St. Michael Cemetery, Roslindale.


In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Jerry’s name to Hallmark Health Hospice, 100 Hospital Rd., Malden, MA 02148 or to the charity of one’s choice.
