FRANKLIN—Robert LaGuardia 55, of Franklin, died Wednesday November 15, 2006 at home surrounded by his family after a brave and courageous battle against Diabetes. He was the devoted husband of Martha L. (Moody) LaGuardia.
Born in Boston May 20, 1951, a son of the late Antonio and Eleanor (Sarno) LaGuardia he was raised in the Boston area and moved to Franklin over 35 years ago.
Educated in Boston schools and a graduate of Charlestown High School he worked for over 30 years until his illness forced him to retire as a licensed electrician for Local 103 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
His interest included fishing, and traveling across country with his family, but he will most be remembered for being a devoted husband and father.
In addition to his wife of 35 years, he was the loving father of Anthony R. LaGuardia of Franklin and Beth A. Deverix and her husband Scott of Milford. He is also survived by a sister Carol Dutton of Haverhill and a brother-in-law Gerard Gosselin and his wife Kathy of Milford. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Rosemarie Gosselin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Saturday November 18, 2006 at 12PM in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral home 33 Cottage St. Franklin. (www.franklinfuneral.com) Interment is Private.
