WORCESTER: Dorothy A. (Senosk) Lara, 71, of Worcester, died peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2006, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by family, after a brief illness. Her husband of 38 years, Louis C. Lara, died March 8, 1995.
She was the mother of Stephen Lara, with whom she lived, Cynthia Boulmetis and her husband Charles of Worcester, Susan Lara of Eastport, ME, and Rachel Lara of Brookfield; grandmother of Christopher and Adam Boulmetis and Erica Lara; sister of George Senosk, Daniel Senosk, and Diane Krakowski. She also leaves aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late John and Diane (Degnis) Senosk, and lived here all her life. Five brothers predeceased her.
Dorothy attended Worcester schools and worked as a nutrition consultant for the Worcester County Extension Service. She later owned Show-Biz Video on Grafton Hill, and until recently was a clerk at White’s Cleaners. She enjoyed her family and trips to Foxwoods and Maine.
CALLING HOURS will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, in HOPE CEMETERY.
The family suggests donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to the VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608.
