Obituary

FALL RIVER - Brazelina Conceicao (Araujo) Peixoto, 86, of Old Fall River Rd., No. Dartmouth, formerly of 409 Lindsey St. Fall River, died Wednesday in Fall River at St. Anne’s Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jose Da Silva Peixoto for 67 years. She is survived by 2 Sons: Gil Da Silva Peixoto of Westport and Joseph John Peixoto of Somerset; 2 Daughters: Alda Maria Ronan of Hercules, CA and Hilda Francisco of No. Dartmouth, MA; 1 Sister: Maria Benvinda Martins of Canada, 10 Grandchildren, 9 Great-grandchildren, and Several Nieces and Nephews. She was the mother of the late Manuel Da Silva Peixoto and the Grandmother of the late John Peixoto.

Born in Joao Bom, Bretanhas, Sao Miguel, Azores the daughter of the late Manuel Araujo and the late Conceicao Araujo. She was a resident of Fall River for 50 years, before moving to No. Dartmouth to live with her daughter for the last two years. Before retiring, she worked as a Sewing Machine Operator for the former Tic Toc Frocks Co. She was a member of St. Michael Church and a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.

Her funeral, along with her Husband’s, will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St., Fall River, MA on Saturday at 9:00 A.M., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling Hours Friday 5-9 P.M.
