Brother of Theresa Fogarty of Wareham; Josephine Carlson of New Hampton, NH; Nicolena Sweeney of Stoughton and Louis DiMarzo of Monument Beach. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday 2-6pm.

Joseph A. DiMarzo, 76 years died at home in Florida after a lengthy illness. He was born in Avon, the son of the Charles and Celia (Dillido) DiMarzo. He was educated and a graduate of St. John’s School in Newton Highland. Mr. DiMarzo retired as an insurance agent from Prudential and received the Presidential citation from Prudential Insurance Company. Joe was a family man. He loved carpentry, masonry and electrical work, he bought seven houses, remodeled them completely and then we lived in each five or six years. He built doll houses for family and friends as well as big garages for the boys. Joe loved the Red Sox and attended every Opening Day game with his son Michael. He was very fond of sweets and I made a batch of fudge every week. His passion was cars. He had a wonderful sense of humor, even when he was very ill. He was married 60 years on November the 6th to Mary E. (Hatch) DiMarzo.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary E. (Hatch) DiMarzo, 2 sons, Joseph DiMarzo of Clearwater and Michael DiMarzo and his wife Joan of Whitman, three sisters, Theresa Fogarty of Wareham; Josephine Carlson of New Hampton, NH; Nicolena Sweeney of Stoughton and a brother, Louis DiMarzo of Monument Beach. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
