Obituary

June S. Marmer, 57, of Peabody died suddenly on November 11, 2006 at her home.

June was the mother of Richard Kaufman and David Kaufman both of Saugus and April Kaufman of Revere. She is also survived by her brother, Paul Marmer of Peabody.

Born in Chelsea on December 23, 1948, the daughter of Henry and the late Celia (Penchuck) Marmer, June was a resident of Chelsea and attended the Chelsea Schools in her early years. She moved with her family to Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School. After high school, she went on to study and graduate from Emerson College with a degree in Speech Therapy. June was dedicated to living a healthy and spiritual lifestyle. She also enjoyed utilizing her skills in organizing and planning. June also spent a good deal of time assisting and mentoring a number of special needs students on a 1 to 1 basis and was a volunteer with hospice.

Funeral services will be held in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Avenue (Cary Sq.) CHELSEA on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Agudos Shalom Cemetery, 232 Fuller St. Everett. Memorial observance will be held at the home of Richard and David Kaufman, 2321 Founders Way, Saugus on Tuesday until 8 PM and on Wednesday and Thursday from 4-8 PM. Those wishing to remember June may do so through memorial donations to the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St. Danvers, MA 01923.
