Phyllis E. Bailey

TEWKSBURY- formerly of Medford, Phyllis E. (Gillen) Bailey, died peacefully early Saturday
morning, November 11th at New England Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of the late
Andrew F. Bailey, who died in 1996 .
Phyllis was born in Mt. Hood, Oregon on December 8, 1916 a daughter of the late Phillip
and Adelaide (Briggs) Gillen. She was raised in Wakefield and Medford. She graduated from
Wakefield High School. Phyllis worked as a nurse aid at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in
Medford. She moved to Tewksbury in 2001 where she continued to devote her life to her family.
Phyllis is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Dr. Phillip Bailey, M.D. and his wife
Sandra of Cleyburne, TX., two daughters and a son-in-law, Margaret Bryant of CT, and Andrea
and her husband Robert Gravelle of Tewksbury., eleven grandchildren, and twenty great
grandchildren
She was preceded in death by one brother and sister.
Her funeral
