Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 9am. Funeral Mass in St. Patrick’s Church at 10am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting Hours Monday 5-8pm. Donations in Catherine’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Obituary Information
Catherine E. (Brady) Crocker died Friday at her daughter’s home after a brief illness. Born in Brockton the daughter of the late Hugh J. and Connie J. (Archibald) Brady, she had been a life long resident. She was a graduate of the former St. Patrick’s High School. Before she enlisted in the US Navy WAVES during WWII she had been employed at the George E. Keith Shoe Company. She was the 2nd Brockton resident to enlist in the WAVES. While in the WAVES she married Robert W. Crocker, a member of the US Air Force. Her interests were in her home and family. Catherine had been a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and former communicant of St. Patrick’s Church.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert W. “Lefty” Crocker, a daughter Judith A. Crocker of Wareham, two sons Robert P. Crocker of Taunton and Hugh J. of Lakeville, six grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Francis Brady, Robert P. Brady and Walter Brady.
