Obituary

Theresa A. (Deveau) Hood, 78, died Friday at the Blue Hills Alzheimer’s Care Center in Stoughton. She was the wife of the late Richard A. Hood. Born in Medford, she was a graduate of Medford Schools. Mrs. Hood worked as a Bank Teller and Loan Officer for the Dedham Institute for Savings and the Bank of Canton for many years. She retired several years ago. In her free time, she enjoyed crafts and candy making. Mrs. Hood also wrote poetry and will be remembered for her sense of humor.

She is survived by her 3 daughters, Carol O’Riley of Stoughton, Janice Roman of Foxboro and Joan DeLuze of Hingham; her 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. In addition to her husband Richard A. Hood, she was predeceased by her children, Richard A. Hood, Marjorie Hood, Robert Hood and Karen Hood. She was also predeceased by her 9 brothers and sisters and her longtime companion George Mulholland.

Funeral services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, November 14 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 5-8 PM. Donations in Theresa’s name may be made to Alzheimer’s Assoc., 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472. Burial will follow at Canton Corner Cemetery, Canton.
