Obituary

Alice (Blanchard) Richmond, 86, of Whitney Place, formerly of Shrewsbury, died Friday, November 10, 2006, at Carlysle House of Framingham. Her husband of 30 years, Marvin F. Richmond, died in 1985. She is survived by two daughters, Cindy and her husband Scott and their children, Sara and Matthew Ricker of Pennington, NJ and Karen and her husband Robert Parrow of Framingham; and a niece and a grandniece of Millbury. A brother, George Blanchard, predeceased her.

She was born in Millbury, daughter of George and Alice (Campbell) Blanchard. She was a graduate of Millbury High School and Salter Secretarial School. She met her husband while working for Northeast Airlines at Worcester Airport. She then worked at U.S. Steel in the public relations office. In 1955, she and Marvin were married and worked together in his photography business, Marvin Richmond Studios. Alice was a member of the Shrewsbury Women’s Club and volunteered at Hahnemann Hospital.

Services will be held Monday, November 13, in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester with a calling hour at 10:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
