Edward V. Hayward , age 60 of East Boston died Saturday in his home following a lengthy illness. Mr. Hayward was born in Boston, the son of the late Harold and the late Catherine (Murphy) Hayward. He was a resident of East Boston for seven years formerly of South Boston. He was born and raised in South Boston, he attended St Brigid School as a child and graduated from South Boston High School. He also attended North Eastern University. He worked for many years as an Electrical Engineer for the Gillette Co. And was also very active as a Troop Leader with the Boy Scouts of America. He was also a United States Navy Veteran.
edward is survived by his loving companion Tricia McLaughlin of East Boston. His two children Tracy Hayward-Tiller and Jason Hayward both of Nashua, NH. Two grandsons, Tyler Edward Tiller and David John Tiller. Two sisters Catherine “Pat” Hayward of Arlington, TX and Mary Hayward Hallgren of Marshfield.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Followed by a graveside service in the Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 West St. Braintree, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 8.
