Bridgewater- Alphonse M. DeAndrade, 71, of Bridgewater, died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, at home after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Liliana (DeAndrade) DeAndrade.
Born Jan. 28, 1935, in the Azores, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Martin) DeAndrade.
He had been a resident of Bridgewater for 52 years.
Mr. DeAndrade was a shoe cutter for many years at Barbour Corp. in Brockton.
He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Bridgewater and a long time member of the Bridgewater Youth Soccer Assoc., where he was also a coach.
Mr. DeAndrade was a past member of Ward 5 in Taunton and enjoyed fishing, soccer and playing cards.
He was the father of James DeAndrade of Crestview, Fla., Eileen DeAndrade, Eddie DeAndrade and Leslie Bridges, all of Bridgewater, Francisco DeAndrade of Raynham and Judy Kelley of East Bridgewater; brother of Irene Eugenio of Taunton, Ozzie DeAndrade of N.C. and Charlie Andrade of FL. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral will be from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, Monday at 8:15 am. Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bridgewater, at 9 am. Visiting hours Sunday 3-7 pm. Burial St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
