Mrs. Hazel Ellington Hobbs, 87, of Fitzgerald, died Tuesday, November 7 at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM Thursday, November 9 in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Hobbs was born September 28, 1919, in Ashburn, Georgia, to the late Flavios Gay and Josie Bearden Ellington. She lived in the community since 1947 from Texas City, TX. Mrs. Hobbs was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Ken Hobbs Signs.
Mrs. Hobbs is survived by a son: Travis Hobbs of Norcross; grandchildren: Jason Hobbs of Fitzgerald, Amanda Hobbs and Megan Hobbs both of McDonough; sister: Gaynelle Dixon of Snellville. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Kenneth L. Hobbs.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be given to donor’s favorite charity.
