Dewayne Luke, 57, of Alapaha died Tuesday, November 7, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 4 PM, Thursday, November 9 at Spring Hill Cemetery, Irwin County, with Rev. Billy Roberts and Rev. James Bowen officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Luke was born March 1, 1949, in Irwin County, Georgia, to Mary Alice Harper Smith and the late Charles Aubrey Luke. He lived in the community all of his life. Mr. Luke was a member of Lax Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Luke is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Tasha Luke Howe & Joseph Howe of Valdosta; mother & stepfather: Mary Alice & Robert C. Smith of Alapaha; sister & brother-in-law: D’Anna & R.B. Tucker, Jr. of Alapaha; nephews: Sam & Nathan Tucker, both of Alapaha. He was preceded in death by a brother. Donnie Howell Luke.
